Due for release this fall, long-running NYC hard rockers Mirror Queen offer a heady mix of psych, prog, and NWOBHM-isms on their fifth full-length album, Dying Days. Counting Blue yster Cult, UFO, Wishbone Ash, and Iron Maiden amongst its influences, their primary intent is to shoot their audience through a cannon of volume, hooks, and timeless riffs. With Dying Days we’ve explored more progressive and melodic aspects of the band, without losing any of that Marshall crunch and metallic sheen.
