One of the first musicians to use the congas in jazz music, along with Diego Iborra and Chano Pozo, Candido played with Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Taylor, Stan Kenton, and Charlie Parker, among many others. Presented here is his complete 1962 LP Conga Soul, plus 1 bonus track, also featuring Jimmy Cleveland on trombone and pianist Lalo Schifin, responsible for all of the arrangements.
