Leaving behind their early ska days they had yet to settle into the slower tempos which were used more common in the mid-_70s. As a result, music here generally gallops, and vocals fall in line. As heard on gems like_Koo Koo, Got To Feel, and_Pee Pee Cluck Cluck, the Maytals_ lyrics tend mostly towards love and the pursuit thereof. The recording quality is outstanding for the era, and some of their most explosive tracks can be found on this record.
