After the release ofWu-Tang Foreverin ’97, ODB had several run-ins with the law and was in and out of court and jail, but it didn’t stop him from being himself. ODB got back in the studio in 1999 to record his second studio album and with a little help fromThe Neptunesdropped the hit single ‘Got Your Money.’ The video for the single was cut with scenes fromDolemiteand one scene inspired the name of the albumN***a Pleasewhich was released on Sept 14th, 1999, and would unfortunately be the last album to be released during Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s lifetime. The album is full of ODB’s lyrical antics backed by a crew of producers including theRZAand Wu-Tang affiliatedTru MasterandBuddah Monkalong with The Neptunes andIrv Gotti.
